LBF Unveils Scholarship Program

The Lanre Briggs Foundation held its inaugural Scholarship Award Ceremony on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Owo, Ondo State. The event marked a significant milestone in the Foundation’s mission to empower young Nigerians through access to fully funded university scholarships.

The ceremony was hosted by renowned broadcaster Frank Edoho, whose presence brought both prestige and energy to the occasion. Dignitaries in attendance included His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, and Mr. Adewale Adeola Taofik, Special Adviser to the Deputy Governor on Political and Public Policy, who represented the Deputy Governor of Ondo State. Also present were community leaders, education stakeholders, and proud parents of the scholarship recipients.

Dr. Lanre Briggs (Ph.D), Founder of the Lanre Briggs Foundation, delivered a speech expressing heartfelt appreciation and reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to transforming lives through education. Although the Foundation initially planned to award 20 scholarships, two additional recipients were included as a compassionate gesture by the founder, bringing the total number of awardees to 22.

The event featured keynote addresses, cultural performances, and moving testimonies from beneficiaries and their families. The Foundation also used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to expanding the scholarship program in future editions, with a vision to reach even more deserving students across Nigeria.
